Have you ever thought of having an entire plane to yourself, with the freedom to sit anywhere and the cabin crew exclusively at your service? It may sound like a dream scenario but this is what happened with a man from North Carolina, US, on an American Airlines flight.

Paul Stringer had the unique experience. Being the sole passenger, he got upgraded to first class and even got to party with the cabin crew during the flight. He was heading back to his home from Oklahoma City to Charlotte, North Carolina.

He received such VIP treatment and was probably rewarded for his patience as the flight had an 18-hour delay. Following the long delay, every other passenger bailed out leaving him alone on the flight.

Stringer’s TikTok video soon went viral with more than 32.5 million views as of Tuesday. Now This News posted it on Instagram. “I went to the gate and nobody was there. I was like, ‘Did you guys already board everyone?” he told the Insider television show, adding that the flight attendant told him, ‘’No, honey, you’re the only passenger.”

“I believe that your attitude determines your destination,’ Stringer continued. ‘Yeah, it was a sucky day. No one wants to stay in the airport for 18 hours, but if you have a positive view, you can turn something into a lot of fun.”

“On paper it doesn’t make sense to fly one person but they probably had to fly because the plane had to be used in another flight at the airport it was headed to,” commented an Instagram user. “It is funny but I am thinking environmentally, was it really necessary to have them fly a whole plane for one person? And have a whole flight crew be woken up for one person?” another said.“This man has the patience of a saint,” wrote a third.
