The Ranji Trophy 2024-25 league stage will be completed after seven rounds of action in the four Elite groups with eight teams confirming their spots in the quarter-finals.
Defending champions Mumbai made a last-gasp entry into the knockouts after thumping Meghalaya for a massive innings victory and joined J&K from Group A. Meanwhile, runners-up Vidarbha secured the top spot from Group B in the previous round and will host Tamil Nadu in the quarter-finals. Former two-time winners Saurashtra also made a resounding return to take the place from Group D.
While Plate Group finalists Goa and Nagaland will be promoted to the Elite Groups next season, Meghalaya and Bihar will return to the plate division after finishing at the bottom of their combined group tally.
Qualified Teams: Vidarbha, Jammu and Kashmir, Saurashtra, Haryana, Mumbai, Kerala, Tamul Nadu and Gujarat.
While group-toppers Vidarbha, Haryana and Saurashtra will play their quarterfinals against Tamil Nadu, Mumbai and Gujarat respectively at their home venues, Jammu and Kashmir will host Kerala in Pune.
