Union Science and Technology Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on Saturday dismissed allegations of land allottment scams when he was the chief minister of Maharashtra, saying,All land was allotted as per the land disposal policy.
He was reacting to his alleged involvement in land allotment to trusts at concessional rates as reportedly pointed out by a leaked CAG report, besides the Bombay High Court judgment cancelling the former Maharashtra CMs decision to allot land at Goregaon to filmmaker Subhash Ghais Mukta Arts Ltd for setting up film academy Whistling Woods.
Maintaining his stand on the CAG report,he said,Let the report be tabled. Till then,I have no comments.
Reacting to the Oppositions demand that Deshmukh should step down from the Cabinet,he said,That (such demands) is the role of the opposition and they are doing what they are supposed to do. Commenting on Ghais reported reaction saying he felt cheated by the Maharashtra government,Deshmukh said,That is his outlook.
