Himachal Cabinet expansion: Nadda loses Forest charge

Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal withdrew the environment portfolio from his senior cabinet minister J.P Nadda in Thursdays cabinet expansion.

Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal withdrew the environment portfolio from his senior cabinet minister J.P Nadda in Thursdays cabinet expansion. Earlier,Nadda had been in-charge of Forest,Environment protection,Science and technology besides Parliamentary affairs.

With the entry of two new ministers and the re-distribution of portfolios,Chief Minister Dhumal has taken over the portfolio of environment,but has left Nadda with the charge of Science and Technology. Nadda has also been given given charge of Law and Legal Remembrance and Elections.

The notification for re-allocation of the portfolios were issued late Thursday and has been posted on the official website of the state government.
