Students went on a rampage in a private school after a girl, allegedly beaten up by the managing director on July 1, died on Monday. The Class X student, Ruchi Kumari, was allegedly humiliated and beaten severely by MD S.P. Verma after she boycotted classes in protest against the post of geography teacher lying vacant. Ruchi died at a private hospital. Verma denied beating the student though he admitted she had been boycotting classes and the post of geography teacher is vacant. Town inspector Gajendra Singh said till date, no FIR has been lodged. — (PTI)
