Dhanteras 2025 Date in India: Dhanteras, also referred to as Dhanatrayodashi, is the first day of Diwali, which goes on for five days. This year, the festival will be celebrated on October 18, which is a Saturday, with the Dhanteras Puja Muhurat beginning at 07:29 PM and ending at 08:20 PM, according to Drik Panchang.
During Dhanteras celebrations, Hindus worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kuber while observing the Pradosh fast. In addition to gold and silver jewellery, people also purchase copper, silver, and brass utensils.
They also purchase a range of products like equipment, vehicles, phones, laptops, refrigerators, microwaves, brooms, clothing, and other household necessities.
On this auspicious festival, purchasing metal or clay idols of Lakshmi and Ganesh is considered ideal, and for the puja vidhi, devotees light four clay or flour lamps and place them at the main entrance of the house in the evening.
