A 30-year-old woman was on Tuesday stabbed to death here allegedly by her husband who later informed police about the incident.
The incident was reported from near Nangloi railway station and the victim has been identified as Sumitra.
Sumitra had been staying with her parents for the past four-five days at their Mubarakpur residence after her relationship with husband Sandeep strained over her alleged illicit relationship.
The couple on Tuesday met near Nangloi where the husband allegedly stabbed Sumitra with a sharp-edged weapon. However,it was not clear how they met each other.
After allegedly stabbing her,Sandeep called police and informed that he committed the crime. Police rushed to the spot and found Sumitra dead on the spot.
Sandeep was arrested and a case has been registered.
According to police officers,Sandeep and Sumitra were not on good terms over her alleged illicit relationship.
