Urvashi Rautela took to her social media handles on Thursday and addressed actor-politician Pawan Kalyan as the ‘Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh’. As soon as Urvashi posted this caption, netizens swarmed her comments section and called out her mistake. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh is YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Urvashi shared a photo with Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej and shared, “Delighted to share screen space with the esteemed Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh @PawanKalyan in our film #BroTheAvatar 🎥 🍿 releases tomorrow #28thJuly worldwide 🌎 story about an arrogant person who is given a second chance to fix his mistakes after death. See you all ♥️ @IamSaiDharamTej #BROFromJuly28th.”
One of the comments took the joke a little further as they wrote, “why stop at chief minister 🤣 give him a post of prime minister too…” Another comment read, “He is not even MLA 😀 I don’t know when he had become chief minister 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣”. There were a bunch of laughing emojis on her tweet as people corrected her for her goof-up.
Urvashi appears in the song My Dear Markandeya in the film. The full video of the song is yet to be released.
Pawan Kalyan’s latest film Bro has him starring with Sai Dharam Tej. Directed by Samuthirakani, the Telugu movie is a remake of the director’s own 2021 Tamil film Vinodhaya Sitham. The film also stars Priya Prakash Varrier, Ketika Sharma, Brahmanandam, Subbaraju and Vennela Kishore.
In a recent media interaction, Priya spoke about working with Pawan Kalyan and said, “When he was on the sets, it was fun seeing him. I have many scenes with both the stars of the film Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej. I play a simple, homely girl Veena and she’ll have a unique look.”
Kalyan is the chief of Jana Sena Party (JSP) and has announced that his party will be contesting the assembly election in 2024. The JSP contested 137 of 175 assembly segments in 2019, but won only one seat.
