Mahesh Babu is celebrating his 48th birthday today, and as a ritual, a new poster from his upcoming film Guntur Kaaram has been unveiled on social media. Mahesh Babu, known for his gentlemanly style, has embraced the lungi swag in the poster. He is seen in a shirt and kaili (a name for lungi in Southern states) and topped it off with sunglass. The poster has also raised many eyebrows as Mahesh Babu is seen smoking in it.
Sharing the poster, the makers of Guntur Kaaram wrote, “Wishing a spectacular Happy Birthday to the Reigning Superstar,
Mahesh Babu garu!#HBDSuperstarMaheshBabu. Your unparalleled on-screen brilliance coupled with your genuine off-screen humility continues to set a remarkable standard of inspiration.”
The biggest excitement around the film is that it brings back the hit director-actor duo. Mahesh Babu and Trivikram have earlier teamed up for the hits Athadu (2005) and Khaleja (2010). Guntur Kaaram marks their third collaboration and fans are hoping for another blockbuster from the successful duo.
Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Guntur Kaaram is touted to be a rural action-drama, which stars Sreeleela and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female leads. Jagapathi Babu will once again be seen as a villain in the film, which also stars Ramya Krishnan. Jayaram, Prakashraj, and Sunil. Thaman is composing the music for the film, which is set to be released on January 12.
After Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh Babu will team up with SS Rajamouli for an untitled project.
