After the successful KGF 2 and Kantara, Hombale Films is all set with its next offering. Titled Dhoomam, the film will star Fahadh Faasil and National Award winner Aparna Balamurali. The first look of the film was revealed on Monday, leaving fans intrigued.
In the poster, Fahadh Faasil looks battered as his lips are taped. The other characters are seen in the background, one holding a gun while the other wearing a mask. A linen of smoke also sails up through the words of the title in the poster, hinting that the film’s plot will have something to do with cigarette smoking. “There is no smoke without fire, here is the first spark. Presenting #Dhoomam First Look #DhoomamFirstLook,” the caption read on the social media page of the production.
Helmed by Pawan Kumar, Dhoomam marks the second announcement from Hombale Films into the Malayalam Film Industry, after the grand announcement of Tyson. The thriller would be released in four languages including Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu. Dhooman will also star Achyut Kumar, Joy Mathew, Dev Mohan, and Anu Mohan in pivotal roles.
Fahadh Faasil, who has developed a Midas touch, was last seen in Malayankunju. The film was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan. He also has many exciting projects in his kitty like Maari Selvaraj’s Maamanan and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2. On the other hand, Aparna Balamurali is basking in the success of Soorarai Pottru which bagged her a National Award recently.
Other than Dhoomam, Hombale Films is also producing an untitled project of Sudha Kongara, Salaar, Raghavendra Stores, Bagheera, and Richard Anthony.
