The makers of Wednesday Season 2 have unveiled the teaser trailer for the show, offering a much-anticipated glimpse into the eerie world of Wednesday Addams. The teaser shows Wednesday returning to Nevermore Academy, where she reunites with her colourful werewolf roommate, Enid Sinclair.

The clip begins with Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) at an airport security checkpoint, calmly removing an array of hidden dangerous weapons from her outfit and her shoes. While the airport staff look on in shock, Wednesday herself is taken aback when the security staff discovers a bottle of sunscreen packed in her bag. Wednesday looks amused and questions Thing (played by Victor Dorobantu) for packing the sunscreen as she only works in the dark.

She is later dropped off at school by her parents, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzmán). Morticia quickly observes, “This is the first time you’ve ever willingly returned to a school.” Wednesday explains her return by saying that coming back feels like ‘returning to the crime scene,’ as she knows ‘where the bodies are buried.’ She even gifts her roommate a doll made of real human hair as the chaos begins. “Wherever there’s murder and mayhem, you will always find an Addams,” she declares.

In a scary moment, Morticia tells Wednesday, “Every family has dark secrets that can have deadly consequences.” But Wednesday remains unfazed, confidently saying, “I do my best work in the dark.”

Wednesday Season 2 will release in two parts. The first part will premiere on Netflix on August 6, while the second part will stream from September 3. The first season, which aired in 2022, was a major hit with audiences and catapulted Jenna Ortega to overnight stardom. Alongside Jenna Ortega, Season 2 features Steve Buscemi, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Joy Sunday, Billie Piper, and others in pivotal roles.

The new season is directed by multiple filmmakers, including Tim Burton, Paco Cabezas, and Angela Robinson.
