When Extraction was released back in 2020, it turned out to be a huge hit, more so in India as it was set in the country and featured Bollywood actors Randeep Hooda and Pankaj Tripathi. There was a huge expectation for its sequel. In the meanwhile, Russo Brothers also developed a huge fanbase in India with The Gray Man, which had Dhanush in a lead role. Now, all these have culminated and resulted in a great reception for the teaser trailer of Chris Hemsworth starrer Extraction 2.
The promo is unique in a way that rather than taking the usual route of showing various scenes of the film, it just shows a small chunk of what seems to be an extraction sequence that is high on action. Hemsworth is seen battling an army to get Kutaisi Staff (Sinead Phelps) out of a prison. The clip is enough to hint at what’s in store in the action thriller.
As far as the plot of Extraction 2 goes, after surviving the fatal mission in the first part, Chris Hemsworth‘s Tyler Rake goes into a coma for nine months. After he comes into his senses, he joins the Australian black ops for another deadly mission, which is to rescue the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held.
Goldhiteh Farahani. Adam Bessa, Olga Kurylenko, Daniel Bernhardt, and Tinatin Dalakishvili also star in the film. It will begin streaming from June 16 on Netflix.
