Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has finally addressed the ongoing rumors surrounding his divorce from actor-choreographer Dhanashree Verma. Taking to his Instagram stories, Chahal requested his fans and followers to refrain from speculating about his personal life, stating that such rumors have caused immense pain to him and his family.
Chahal’s statement comes less than 24 hours after Dhanashree Verma slammed “faceless trolls” for spreading “baseless” claims about their divorce. The rumors gained momentum after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram.
In his Instagram post, Chahal expressed his gratitude to his fans for their unwavering love and support. He wrote, “I am grateful to all my fans for their unwavering love and support without which, I wouldn’t have come this far. But this journey is far from OVER!!! As there are still many incredible OVERS left to deliver for my country, my team, and for my fans!!!”
Chahal then addressed the rumors surrounding his personal life, stating, “As a Son, a Brother and a Friend, I humbly request everyone not to indulge in these speculations, as they have caused immense pain to me and my family.”
The cricketer emphasised the importance of his family values, which have taught him to always wish well for others, strive for success through dedication and hard work, and remain committed to these values. He concluded his post by seeking his fans’ love and support, rather than sympathy.
Amidst the swirling rumors of their separation, Dhanashree, on Thursday, had reacted taken to social media and posted a Story, expressing her anger, revealing that the past few days have been very difficult for her and her family.
It read, “The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact- checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate. I’ve worked hard for years to build my name and integrity.”
She further added, “My silence is not a sign of weakness; but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others. I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification. Om Namah Shivaay.” This enigmatic message added fuel to the fire, as fans had already noticed that Yuzvendra and Dhanashree had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
The couple, who tied the knot on December 22, 2020, had seemingly been going strong until the sudden change on social media. Chahal’s decision to delete all his photos with Dhanashree from his profile further fueled the speculation, although Dhanashree still has a few photos with him on her Instagram profile. The move has left fans wondering about the status of their marriage.
