Sidharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani starrer Yodha opened to a less than impressive number at the box office. As per official figures, the film collected Rs 4.25 crore on its day 1. Now, early figures for day 2 show a little jump in the numbers.
As per official figures, Yodha collected Rs 6.01 crores on Saturday in India. With this, the film’s total collection so far stands at Rs 10.26 crores.
With more than 500 shows in Mumbai and Delhi respectively, the film’s Hindi occupancy on Saturday was 18.83 per cent. Along with Yodha, Adah Sharma’s Bastar and Sargun Mehta’s Jatt Nuu Chudail Takri were released on Friday. However, both these films have not been able to overtake Yodha. In two days, Bastar has managed to collect Rs 1.05 crore, while Jatt Nuu Chudail Takri has raked in Rs 2.17 crore.
With Shaitaan maintaining a stronghold at the box office, breaking through for Yodha seems like a daunting task. The Ajay Devgn starter has collected more than Rs 100 crore in India, and its worldwide collection has passed the Rs 120 crore mark.
Sidharth Malhotra starrer Shershaah’s digital release in 2021 received a great response. However, Siddharth has not had a box-office success after Kapoor & Sons in 2016. His last big screen outing was in 2022 with Thank God and that film also tanked at the box office.
Off late, the actor has been fashioning himself as the next action star in Bollywood. He made his OTT debut this year with Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force.
So will Yodha turn the tide for Sidharth or will his spell of box office duds continue? Well, it is a wait and watch!
