Sonam Kapoor’s big comeback to the movies, Blind, is set to release on July 7 on JioCinema and the teaser of the film dropped on Tuesday. The teaser introduces Sonam’s character as a visually impaired person who takes a cab, driven by Purab Kohli’s character, and realises that someone is being held hostage in the trunk of the car.
The teaser then shows the police on the hunt for a man who has been kidnapping women in the UK. The promo ends with a phone call between the two characters where the kidnapper warns her against following him and she says, “I’ll put an end to this.”

Blind was shot during the pandemic in Glasgow. Vinay Pathak and Lilette Dubey also star in the movie. The film’s crew completed the schedule in 39 days despite the lockdown restrictions. It was previously reported that Sonam plays a visually impaired cop in Blind.
In an earlier conversation with indianexpress.com, Sonam Kapoor said that she decided to not take up any film projects during her pregnancy. Blind was shot before the actor got pregnant. She welcomed her son Vayu with husband Anand Ahuja in August 2022. “It hasn’t affected work at all. It’s also because I decided to not work while I was pregnant. And I think it was the best decision as I got to take some time off. Now, I am getting back and I will be shooting for my films, and a few other things. Blind is releasing next month, which was shot just before I got pregnant. So there’s a lot to look forward to,” she said.
Blind has been directed by Shome Makhija and will be available to stream for free on JioCinema.
