Bollywood actor Rani Mukerji, who will next be seen in the film Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, spoke about raising her seven-year-old daughter Adira. The actor said that she will not put up with anyone judging her or her daughter’s upbringing, and warned that she will ‘give it back’ to those who do. Rani is fiercely protective about Adira, and has made sure to not allow the press or the paparazzi to photograph her.
In an interaction with Barkha Dutt for Mojo Story, Rani explained how a mother knows what’s best for her child, and said, “I might feel that what the other mother is doing to her child might not be correct. But who are we to judge? And I know that today because I am raising my own daughter.”
Rani and her husband, Aditya Chopra, tied the knot in 2014. They welcomed Adira in 2015. The film Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway is inspired by real-life events and is based on the life of Sagarika Chakraborty, a mother who fought against the government of Norway to get her children back. The film is slated to release in theatres on March 17.
