As Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s darling daughter Raha Kapoor turns two today, grandmother Neetu Kapoor took to Instagram to wish her ‘pyaar’. Sharing a photo of Raha seated between her parents as Ranbir kisses her, Neetu wrote, “Our pyaar s birthday 🎁🧿 god bless”. Raha’s aunt Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who was recently seen in Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’ latest season, also shared a photo of Raha with her daughter Samaara and wrote, “Happiest birthday my cutie pie”.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also shared warm birthday wishes for Raha.
Meanwhile, Ranbir and Alia have always been vocal about their daughter. Alia also once shared how she was navigating the challenges of being a working mom while also experiencing the guilt of being a working child. Alia also shed some light on how she plans to parent Raha differently.
Talking to The Nod Mag, Alia Bhatt once shared about sleepless nights while she was shooting in London for her film, Heart of Stone as she felt she was not a good enough daughter.
Alia shared then that when she was a 23-year-old actor who was occupied with projects, she barely had time to spend time with her mom Soni Razdan. “I was barely 23 when I moved out of the house. I’d be away on long shooting schedules, and sometimes you wouldn’t even know which city I was in. So that was a defining point in my life, and our relationship,” shared Alia then.
The new mom Alia added, “But I do feel I left home too soon—and I won’t let that happen with Raha. Believe it or not, usually I’m a forward-thinking kind of person, but with Raha, I’m just taking each day as it comes. Papa recently told me: “If you don’t let Raha fall down, it will be the biggest mistake you’ll make because she’ll never learn how to pick herself up.”
During their discussion, Soni had also expressed her feelings of how at times she felt like she was Alia’s manager, not mother. However, Soni said that she loves where they are today and said that things have changed.
Alia’s mom Soni also shared that she respects Alia’s privacy and wants her to arrive at her own way of parenting.

In an earlier interview with Vogue India, Alia also opened up about her discomfort with the idea of Raha becoming a public figure so early in life. “Ranbir and I are very clear on how long we don’t want Raha to be in the public eye for. We don’t even want to post her pictures on social media,” shared Alia.
Alia added, “I just don’t feel comfortable with any sort of conversation around my little baby right now.”
