Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, once primarily known as the daughter of Bollywood legends Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, or as Ranbir Kapoor’s sister, has recently carved an identity of her own—especially after her appearance on Karan Johar’s reality series Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives. Her debut on the show left many intrigued by her personality, style, and especially her luxurious lifestyle. Married to businessman Bharat Sahni, Riddhima resides in a stunning bungalow in Delhi that exudes both opulence and warmth. Recently, filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan paid her a visit, taking audiences on a delightful tour of the Kapoor Sahni residence.
As they approached the home, Farah turned to her cook Dilip and said, “I’m going to take you to a very nice house.” Upon seeing the grand façade, a surprised Dilip asked, “Ma’am, which hotel is this? You said we were going to someone’s house.”
Farah laughed and replied, “This is no hotel, but it certainly looks like one!” To which Dilip agreed: “Yes ma’am, I think so too.”
Joking about the home’s grandeur, Farah quipped, “If this is a hotel, do you want to stay the night here?” Dilip, now clearly intrigued, asked, “How much do they charge per night?” Farah responded playfully, “I don’t know, but I’m sure it’s way beyond our budget and salary!”
Riddhima’s home boasts an in-house gym, a vibrant play area, and open spaces flooded with natural light. A beautiful garden with lemon trees—even a grapefruit mistaken for a lemon by Farah.
“Is this a lemon? I had heard homes in Delhi are huge, but this is the first time I have seen a lemon this massive!” Farah exclaimed.
The interiors are equally impressive. The living room is designed in rich shades of brown, and includes a cozy family bar and a dedicated sitting area.
As Farah toured the house, she pointed to a tastefully furnished corner and asked, “What is this?”
Riddhima casually replied, “Oh, this? It’s just a sitting area.”
Farah, stunned by the understatement, emphasised, “JUST a sitting area, guys.” Turning to the cameraman, she added, “You need to see this ‘just’ a sitting area.”
She joked, “In Bombay, they make a whole 3BHK out of this space.”
Riddhima smiled and explained, “It’s a lounge where we love to hang out as a family.” Taking the tour upstairs, Farah noted, “This looks like a different floor.”
Riddhima corrected her with a grin: “This is my floor. My space.”
Farah, clearly amused, responded, “Oh, so everyone here gets a floor to themselves? In Bombay, people fight for a single room!”
Curious, Farah then asked if Riddhima would get her own space in Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s newly constructed home in Mumbai’s Pali Hill. Riddhima replied, “Yes, I have my own room there. My mom has an entire floor to herself. There’s one room for Bharat and me, and another for Samara. She wants to keep us all close to her.”
Speaking of her mother, Riddhima opened up emotionally. “I love her. She’s all that I have now. We love pampering her and taking trips together.”
Ranbir and Alia’s six-storey building has been named after Ranbir’s late grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor. The building is in grey and light blue with glass balconies and large windows.
