Recently, Pakistani actor Hania Aamir attended a meet-and-greet event in Dallas, US. However, she had to leave the event midway. Now, the actor has shared a detailed statement on her social media account about the incident.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Hania revealed that she and her management team were victims of verbal abuse by the event organisers. She accused one of the organisers of treating her manager inappropriately and compromising her security. According to the actor, she heard an organiser abusing her manager verbally when she was clicking pictures with her fans. She instantly approached them to understand the matter, but things took a turn for the worse.

Describing the incident, Hania Aamir said, “Everyone saw videos of me walking to the crowd and taking pictures and everything was fine. When I was going back to my seat, I heard one of the organisers verbally abuse my manager. When I walked up to her and asked what had happened and told the man (one of the organisers) that he could not speak to her like this. She was distraught that she went backstage. I followed her to make sure she was okay and Fahad being a gentleman also came to check up on her.”

“Then we decided to start with the photos with the fans backstage. At this point, he came running after us, calling us names, telling us to get out, calling off the security protocols and verbally assaulted us even more. Just because us women are in male-dominated fields, gives you no right to assume that you can get away with almost anything and that we will not take a stand for ourselves,” it further read.

She ended the note with an apology to her fans as she wrote, “I would like to apologise to every single one of you who came. And I dearly love every single one of you. I am sorry things had to end this way.”

Hania Aamir’s statement has garnered support from her fans, with many calling out the organisers in the comments section for their misbehaviour and lauding the actor for her efforts.
