Deepika Padukone takes two-days off from ‘Bajirao Mastani’ for ‘Piku’

Despite her busy schedule, Deepika is making sure to squeeze in time for ‘Piku’.

Deepika Padukone’s latest release ‘Piku’ is said to be extremely close to the actress’ heart. No doubt, the film is doing very well both domestically as well as in the international market, however, the actress who plays the titular character in the film is going all out when it comes to supporting the Shoojit Sircar directorial venture.

Even though ‘Piku’ is performing wonderfully at the Box Office, thanks to positive word-of-mouth, the marketing team of the film has requested Deepika for some additional time for the post release promotions of the film.

Despite her busy schedule, Deepika is making sure to squeeze in time for ‘Piku’. She has been shooting for her next film, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ at night and promoting ‘Piku’ during the day. She has also requested Sanjay Leela Bhansali to give her two days off from ‘Bajirao Mastani’ so as to participate in a special promotion campaign for ‘Piku’.

“Deepika has taken a two-day break from shooting to promote Piku. She made a special request to Sanjay sir and he graciously got her dates re-aligned so that she can promote the film,” confirms Deepika’s spokesperson.
