23-year-old Avneet Kaur, who has spent over a decade in the entertainment industry, recently opened up about her journey, including moments when she felt uncomfortable as a child actor. Avneet also addressed rumours about her alleged plastic surgery.

In an interview with Hauterrfly, Avneet revealed that she was inappropriately touched during a dance rehearsal at the age of 8. Following the incident, she had a conversation with her mother about good touch and bad touch. “Once, during dance rehearsals, there was someone who touched here and there… at the time, I told my mother about this… then my mom told me that beta, this is bad touch, this is good touch and whatever. You have to understand that this happens. I am telling you this from back when I was eight years old. And since then, I was well prepared for such things,” she recalled.

The actor also shared that she learned to handle harsh criticism at a young age after being verbally abused by a director during her teenage years. She said, “There was this one incident from the time when I was struggling, and it really scared me. I was just starting out, and this director gave me a very heavy monologue with heavy words, which I had to say. Now, I was very scared, because I was 11 or 12, and I fumbled 2-3 times, which is when he switched on his mic and started speaking harshly. He said that I wasn’t capable of doing anything and that I would never succeed in this industry. He even abused me verbally. I was very confused because my parents were not allowed on set. I went to my parents and told them everything and my self-confidence broke as an actor.”

Avneet Kaur also shot down rumours of undergoing cosmetic procedures and revealed that it is because of her skincare. She said, “I don’t get fillers, but I do get facials, and I definitely take care of my skin. I do everything to tighten my skin. I haven’t done anything to change my features, like getting a different nose. Nothing like that has happened to me. I have decent features.”

On the work front, Avneet is set to feature in the film Love in Vietnam. The film’s release date is yet to be announced.
