
WB HS Result 2024: The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) today (May 8) announced the Uccha Madhyamik results 2024 in a press conference. The HS result link is made active now at the official websites. The pass percentage this year is 90 per cent. Science stream has performed the best, with 97.19 per cent students passing, followed by commerce and humanities at 96.08 per cent and 88.2 per cent students passing respectively.
The West Bengal HS result will be available at education.indianexpress.com.
Students who appeared for the 12 board exams can check the scorecards on the official websites — wbchse.wb.gov.in and at wbresults.nic.in.
Candidates will be required to key in their registration number/ roll number and password to check the scorecard. This year, the WBCHSE board conducted the class 12 exams in February.
Information about the Uchcha Madhyamik compartmental exams will be announced after the result declaration. To collect the WBCHSE original mark sheets, students need to visit their respective schools a few days after the result 2024 declaration.
To check the Board Result 2024 online, students are required to have their roll code and roll number.
In 2022, a total of 6,36,875 students passed the class 12 exam, out of the 7.4 lakh students who had registered. The pass percentage of boys and girls was 90.19 per cent and 86.9 per cent respectively and the overall pass percentage was 88.44 per cent.
A special evaluation criterion was formed to calculate the class 12 results in 2021 when the Uccha Madhyamik exams were cancelled due to Covid. Of the 8,19,202 candidates registered, 97.69 per cent had passed. The pass percentage was 97.70 per cent among both boys and girls.
Students who score between 100 to 90 marks will be given distinction, A grade for those who score between 89 to 70 marks, A/ First Division for 69 to 60 marks, B / Second Division for 59 to 50 marks, C/ Third Division for 49 to 34 marks, and D/ Improvement for those who score 35 & below.
