My IIT dream
Ever since Class 9, I dreamt of being a software engineer and with my brother studying at IIT, my determination to secure admission to a top-ranking engineering college got stronger. I want to pursue CSE at IIT Bombay.
Started my preparation in Class 10
I joined coaching in Class 1o and my institute teacher taught us the basics of Class 11. We completed the syllabus for Physics and Mathematics in October and the syllabus for Chemistry was completed in December.
Gave a lot of tests for PCM
At our coaching institute, we have to keep appearing for mock tests for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics between October to December. We were given these tests not only for practice for the exam but also for time management.
How I revised
Up until December, I revised whatever was taught in class daily and then did my homework. And, if I had any extra time, I used it by solving questions from reference books.
From December to January, I studied mainly from NCERT books and focussed on Chemistry as I was weak in it.
Books I referred to
Apart from NCERT and coaching material, I referred to Cengage for Mathematics and Pathfinder for Physics. For Chemistry, I relied only on NCERT.
What did I do to relax
I used to play the keyboard till Class 11. I don’t play it anymore but in my free time I watch movies or funny videos on YouTube. I follow BB ki Vines and Carryminati
Advice for students appearing for JEE
Don’t leave any topic for later, if you have doubts regarding any topic, work on it when you are studying it. Because later, you won’t get much time as you’ll get busy with preparation for the exam.
