BJP youth wing organises Hanuman Chalisa recitals at 500 spots

The BJP Yuva Morcha organised Hanuman Chalisa recitals in 500 places across Mumbai Friday.

Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar led the recital in Dadar. Cabinet minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha visited the Hanuman temple at Malabar Hill and offered his prayers on the occasion.

Ahead of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections this year, the BJP seems to have been using the festivals as outreach events, said political observers.

Earlier, the saffron party had organised Dahi Handi, Ganesh Utsav, and Navratri festivals on a massive scale across all 227 wards in Mumbai.
