Footballer suffers head injury

Mohammedan Sporting forward David Sunday was knocked down unconscious following a collision with a Police AC footballer during their Calcutta Football League premier division match at Salt Lake Stadium on Friday.

Mohammedan Sporting forward David Sunday was knocked down unconscious following a collision with a Police AC footballer during their Calcutta Football League premier division match at Salt Lake Stadium on Friday. The incident happened on 12 minutes of the play. He suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital. “CT scan reports didn’t show any blood clot. However,the doctors have kept him under observation,” a Md Sporting official said.

The match ended in a goalless draw.
