The Telugu Desam Party (TDP)’s three-day annual conclave ‘Mahanadu’ started today in Kadapa. This is the first time the party is holding the conclave in Kadapa—a stronghold of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP).

This year’s Mahanadu is not just a political conclave—it is a celebration of Telugu pride, grassroots power, and the TDP’s commitment to building a progressive, inclusive Andhra Pradesh, TDP supremo and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said.

In his inaugural address, Naidu said that the TDP has many times played a crucial role in key decisions taken by successive governments at the Centre.

He said that the party has set new trends in welfare, reforms, and development. “What Andhra Pradesh thinks today, India thinks tomorrow,’’ he said.

Stating that the TDP has overcome several challenges over its 43 years history, Naidu said that it was predicted that the party was finished, particularly after its election debacle in 2019.

“But TDP’s flag has always flown high,” he said. Promising good governance, Naidu vowed that the NDA state government is committed to accountability and would not spare those guilty of corruption. “We have decades of experience, strategic vision, and support from the Centre, and we are building a strong foundation for a prosperous Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

He asserted that under the coalition government, people have regained their freedom from fear, vendetta politics, and misgovernance.
