Explore the captivating journey of Vagisha Jain, a visionary entrepreneur, passionate educator, and accomplished writer. Step into her world and uncover the challenges she’s conquered and the successes she’s achieved.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
A: I was born in the vibrant city of Ludhiana, often called the “Manchester of India,” and my parents lovingly named me ‘Vagisha.’ My friends see me as a unique individual, much like my name, but I firmly believe that every soul in this vast world possesses its own distinct brand of individuality. What truly sets me apart is my deep affinity for words, thoughts, and knowledge—a passion that beautifully aligns with my name, Vagisha, meaning the Goddess Saraswati herself.
Ludhiana has been my nurturing cocoon, where the seeds of my education were sown, and my dreams of teaching and writing began to sprout. Initially a science student, I pursued my bachelor’s in science with a non-medical stream and later completed my Masters in English literature from Khalsa College for Women in Ludhiana. Over time, I discovered my innate talents and love for creative expression, leading me to establish ‘VagishaJain.com,’ my true love for the art of expression.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I am deeply committed to societal betterment. As the Delhi State President of the Media & Communication Council, WICCI, I passionately advocate for women’s advancement in the professional arena. My affiliations with organisations like JCI and Let’s Spread Love reflect my broader commitment to social change. Through the Nabhya Theatre Group, I strive to enrich our cultural tapestry.
I am resolute in my mission to pass on the torch of wisdom and skill to the younger generation through immersive online and offline sessions. My purpose now stands as a beacon, inspiring the youth to shatter the confines of their mental cages and savor the delights of exploration, hope, and unwavering belief. In the literary world, I proudly bear the mantle of authorship, having penned ‘Tune into the World of Radio: A Complete Guidebook to Radio Journalism.’
In summary, I am an Entrepreneur by Mind, an Educationist by Heart, and a Writer by Soul.
Q: What made you start your company?
A: Originally, I was deeply focused on writing and idea conceptualisation. One day, I received a call from international dance artist Sonia Khatwani, urging me to manage her digital marketing profile. Despite my background in computer education, I hesitated to relinquish my passion for writing. However, Sonia’s persistence revealed a common challenge: clients struggled to coordinate with different firms for various projects.
Recognising the shortage of skilled writers and the need for comprehensive solutions, I founded a company offering everything in one place. I assembled teams proficient in web design, content creation, ad shoots, video production, SEO, performance marketing, and more, evolving into a full-fledged digital marketing agency. Now, we are venturing into AR, VR, and the Metaverse. Credibility, service, and performance are the cornerstones of our commitment. I started this company in 2019 and currently, we are proud to serve big names like Fashion TV, Printmaster India, Grover Care, Grover Motors, and more.
Q: Your accomplishments till now
A: The true accomplishments lie in our clients and audience. Here are some of my achievements:

• Awarded Women of the Decade in Education by the Women Economic Forum in 2021.
• Featured as India’s No. 1 Content Writer in the Top 20 Content Writers on LinkedIn in 2022.
• Featured on the cover page of eLife magazine.
• Awarded Woman Changemaker Award by GISR NGO.
• Awarded Real Superwoman award by Forever Star India Awards.
• Special Guest at the International Literacy Conference by Skill Shark.
Q: The challenges
A: Success isn’t truly savoured until you’ve faced challenges. Digital marketing holds immense potential, yet many remain tethered to familiar platforms like Facebook and Instagram, especially post-COVID-19. There’s a prevailing misconception that results will magically appear within days, but the truth is, it’s a lengthy journey that demands unwavering patience.
Furthermore, the digital landscape is plagued by dubious entities offering false promises and low-cost solutions. They prey on unsuspecting clients, take their money, and disappear, leaving clients disillusioned. Genuine digital marketers often find themselves picking up the pieces and resetting expectations.
For a woman in a technical field, the uphill battle to prove oneself continues. Outdated stereotypes persist, casting men as the natural inhabitants of technical niches. The skepticism surrounding women’s ability to own and efficiently run companies lingers, resulting in mistreatment and, at times, inappropriate demands from male counterparts. Navigating this male-dominated business world remains a formidable challenge for women.
Q: Future plans
A: My goal is to revolutionise marketing platforms for entrepreneurs and professionals, offering a diverse range of options. My mission extends to nurturing the youth of Ludhiana, imparting the art of ethical digital marketing. Simultaneously, I’m empowering senior citizens in Ludhiana with knowledge on effectively using Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.
In addition, I’m crafting informative books designed to demystify the intricacies of the online realm, catering to a wide spectrum of readers: from aspiring young talents to seasoned business proprietors and wise senior citizens. These books will serve as invaluable guides, shedding light on the nuances of the digital landscape.
Q: Expectations from government
A: As our world increasingly embraces the digital realm, it’s imperative to educate individuals about online promotions and the escalating threat of cyber fraud. Establishing a robust digital police force and swift cyber cells is paramount. Earnings built through hard work can vanish in an instant due to hacking. Integrating digital literacy into school curricula is vital to guide young minds and prevent misuse. Comprehensive awareness campaigns and counseling are crucial. Moreover, offering Digital Marketing courses in colleges and universities ensures the next generation is equipped with the skills needed for this digital age.
Q: Stress-busters
A: I dwell in a perpetual state of joy, embracing life’s kaleidoscope. I enjoy traveling, watching movies, writing my thoughts, meeting people, listening to songs, and making paintings. These activities are a part of my daily routine, helping keep stress at bay. However, if I get overly stressed by something, I engage in these activities even more. Guided by a profound philosophy, I surrender to the divine order, believing that diligent efforts blend seamlessly with the universe’s grand design.
