His career, spanning over two decades, showcases versatility across diverse roles. Singh’s cinematic journey began in 1998 with Ram Gopal Varma's Satya. However, his portrayal of the slain bandit Durgaa Narayan Chaudhary in Jungle (2000) garnered significant critical acclaim, earning him the IIFA and Zee Cine Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role. This performance marked a turning point, establishing his credibility as a character actor. He further solidified his position in Bollywood with impactful roles in period dramas like Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and The Legend of Bhagat Singh.
