Super Typhoon Fung-wong Slams Philippines, 1.4 Million Displaced; 2 Dead | Typhoon In Philippines

Typhoon Fung-wong battered the northwestern Philippines before exiting on Monday, triggering deadly floods and landslides, knocking out power across multiple provinces, and displacing over 1.4 million people. At least two people died, while more than 318,000 remained in evacuation centers. The storm struck as a super typhoon with winds up to 185 kph (115 mph), hitting while the country was still reeling from Typhoon Kalmaegi’s devastation. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared a state of emergency, as authorities warned that rains still posed danger.
