The shoot of Vijay’s next film Master came to an end on Saturday. Announcing the wrap-up, the makers released a photo featuring Vijay Sethupathi, who is seen giving an affectionate kiss to Vijay.
The first single from Master, “Kutti Story”, was released on Valentine’s Day.
The song, crooned by Vijay, has already clocked in over 25 million views on Youtube.
Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for Master.
Just like his “Why this Kolaveri Di”, "Kutti Story" is also a mix of Tamil and English words, and has been well-received by fans.
Vijay and Anirudh Ravichander are working together after a gap of six years. They last collaborated for AR Murgadoss directorial Kaththi in 2014.
Apart from the fact that Vijay is working with Lokesh Kanagaraj, what has got fans most excited is the news that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the antagonist in Master.
Vijay Sethupathi is at the peak of his career. Last year, he was seen in the hit film Petta alongside superstar Rajinikanth. He has established himself as a versatile actor and is among the most sought-after actors in the industry today. Apart from Master, he is also currently filming a slew of films including Kadaisi Vivasayi, Maamanithan and Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
Master, which also stars Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Arjun Das and Nassar among others, is set to hit screens this April.
Rathna Kumar, who last helmed Amala Paul’s Aadai, has co-written the film along with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The technical team comprises Sathyan Sooryan and Philomin Raj for editing and cinematography, respectively.
The first look of Master sent fans into a frenzy. Although it remains to be seen whether Lokesh Kanagaraj can deliver a film that serves Vijay’s stardom, it comes as a relief that the actor is not working with Atlee or AR Murgadoss again.
