Trump reacts harshly to Biden’s decision to drop out of 2024 presidential race

This decision to step aside allows Vice President Kamala Harris to become the Democratic Party’s nominee for the November general elections.

Biden, who tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in self-isolation, cited his health and the best interests of the country as reasons for his withdrawal.

Posting on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump declared,  Trump asserted, “Joe Biden was never qualified to run for President and is utterly unfit to serve. He only managed to become President by perpetuating lies, relying on Fake News, and barely leaving his basement.”

Trump further added, “All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t.”

Trump continued his tirade, criticising Biden’s presidency and its impact on the country.

“And now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists. We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump remains a dominant figure in the Republican Party, despite facing numerous legal challenges and controversies.

Recently, Trump survived an assassination attempt during a public event, which only intensified his resolve and the fervor of his supporters.

This incident occurred when a lone gunman attempted to breach security and reach the former president. Although Trump was hurt in his ear but wasn’t critically injured. The incident heightened security concerns and further polarised his base and detractors.

Trump’s latest remarks reflect his ongoing strategy of discrediting his opponents while rallying his base with promises of rectifying the perceived wrongs of the current administration.

As the election draws nearer, the rhetoric from both sides is expected to intensify, shaping a highly charged and pivotal campaign season.
