Deepinder Goyal, the co-founder and CEO of Zomato, recently assumed the role of a delivery partner for the firm in an attempt to obtain personal knowledge of the difficulties experienced by delivery workers on a daily basis. He rode off on a bike with his wife, Gia Goyal (previously Grecia Munoz), to deliver food orders in Gurgaon. Goyal uploaded multiple pictures to Instagram, sharing their experience.

Goyal posted a picture of himself and his wife, writing, “Went out to deliver orders a couple of days ago, teaming up with @greciamunozp.” The pictures showed the couple navigating the busy streets, seeking directions on their device, and interacting with customers while making deliveries. While some social media users praised Goyal’s hands-on approach, others questioned the motive.

The post sparked a wave of reactions across social media, with one Instagram user saying, “Hope you’ll be able to see the pain of the delivery persons and would resolve their problems and make their lives easier.” Another wrote, “Wow! This is amazing.”

In a more humorous vein, some users asked if Goyal received any tip for his deliveries. One user commented, “Did you get a tip?” Another user wrote, “Bhaiya Tip mila kya??”

Some users suggested the entire exercise might just be a marketing ploy.

Deepinder Goyal, who co-founded the food delivery platform Zomato in 2008, boasts a net worth of $1.7 billion according to Forbes. He recently tied the knot with Grecia Munoz, a former Mexican model, earlier this year.
