A social media post has sent shivers down the spines of chocoholics across the country. In a now-viral video, a man said he found worms inside a box of Chocos, a popular cereal made by Kellogg’s. The video, shared on January 22, has garnered widespread criticism and concern, raising questions about food safety standards.
After opening the box at home, the man’s sister said the cereal’s taste was unusual. He then discovered worms in the box of the chocolate cereal. He recorded a video and posted it on his Instagram account @cummentwala_69 and tagged the brand.
Kellogg’s issued a statement acknowledging the incident and expressing regret for the consumer’s experience. It said in the statement, “We deeply regret the inconvenience caused to you. Our Consumer Affairs team would get in touch with you to understand your concern. Request you to inbox us your contact details.”

Netizens expressed disgust and outrage, questioning the hygiene and quality control practices of Kellogg’s. Many shared similar experiences of finding foreign objects in their food, highlighting the broader issue of food safety in India.
One netizen wrote, “Damn I’ve gotten few LIVE worms from this same shitty product many years ago. Years ago when social media wasn’t that common. The very day I stopped having chocos. Can’t believe they still sell worms with these!!!”
