A recent video making the rounds on social media has left the internet divided. The clip features an unconventional culinary creation— ‘kaju katli bhajiya’. Kaju katli is a much-loved sweet made from cashews and sugar syrup. In this viral video, however, the delicate squares of dessert are dipped in a chickpea flour (besan) batter and then deep-fried.
The video was shared by @news24official on Instagram and this sweet-savoury fusion has caused quite a stir. While some viewers are intrigued by the potential for a unique flavour combination, others are horrified by the idea of frying the traditional sweet.
The video has received over 5,000 views and comments.

One user wrote, “Arrest Karo!!!!!! Justice for kaju katli.” Another user said, “When time and money are useless on a man, people do new drama like this.” A third chimed in, “Katli ke Katal ke ilzaam me giraftaar karo isko,” which translates to “Arrest him for the murder of Kaju katli.”
Whether ‘kaju katli bhajiya’ is a hit or flop, it certainly won’t be the last time someone experiments with food.
