Bengaluru had one of the worst traffic jams yesterday with commuters being stuck for hours. Many netizens took to social media to share their horrific experience as it took hours to travel a distance of a few kilometres.

A man shared on X, formerly Twitter, how his friend could not get any cab or autorickshaw and had to walk almost 12 kilometres to reach home. Tushar (@TheTusharLuthra) posted on X, “My friend walked 12Kms back home in Bangalore today. He wasn’t getting any cabs/autos/rapido or anything else. Quality of life even for top 1% after having all the means is only hitting lows & lows in this city.”

He also shared a screenshot of an app tracking the distance travelled. It showed the man walked a distance of 11.87 km and it took him 195 minutes.

The tweet has received more than 1.50 lakh views since being posted on Wednesday.

In reply to the comments, Tushar said his friend had gone to Manipal Hospital in HAL Old Airport road for a medical checkup and had to walk back home which was located on the Sarjapur main road.

“Good for his health though,” a user commented. “Must have thoroughly enjoyed weather though,” said another. “Still faster than sitting in a cab with bumper-to-bumper traffic,” wrote another. “Nice half marathon completed,” another person said.

As commuters waited for hours stuck in the traffic, a man ordered pizza.

“When we decided to order from @dominos during the Bangalore choke. They were kind enough to track our live location (a few metres away from our random location added in the traffic) and deliver to us in the traffic jam,” the man wrote.
