When one thinks of momos, one imagines simple round dumplings stuffed with steamed meat or vegetables. Often one enjoys them with a side of chutney or even the highly debated option of mayonnaise. Now a new style of steamed momos is going viral. This style includes momos that are not simply round but instead have four small pockets.
The small pockets are then filled with a selection of four different dips and sauces. Since this design already incorporates the sauces, one does not need a serving of the dips on the side.
A video showing the presentation of these momos was shared on Instagram by a popular food vlogging account SURAT FOOD BLOGGER (thehungrysurati). As per the video, one can try these ‘shot momos’ at the Dumpling Hut, located on Pal RTO Road in Surat’s Adajan area.
The video of the ‘shot momos’ has over 7.8 lakh likes so far. Commenting on it, an Instagram user wrote, “Her momos are tidier than my study table 😭💀”.
Another person wrote, “Wishing all the best to the girls but serving the momos with individually filling them with sauces and chutney is too time consuming, wondering how will they manage the crowd as and how their business flourishes.”
An Instagram user suggested, “She can come up with a idea of new type of sauce bottle four nozzle and with different chutney and sauce and modified acc to the size of momos she makes, it will save a lot of time during rush, cuz why not new verities sabko taste karni hoti hai log bheed laga hi denge”.
