
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, who is party chief Lalu Prasad’s son, celebrated his 36th birthday in Patna on Sunday. However, the celebrations soon turned chaotic after the cake he cut, weighing 36 pounds, was demolished by children in seconds.
“The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders celebrated their leader’s birthday at the state headquarters of the party in Patna, but immediately as the cake was cut, the children are said to have rushed towards the table and grabbed mouthfuls of the cake,” the accompanying caption read.
“The video clip shows the children pushing each other and laughing, displaying their excitement. Tejashwi Yadav had a private celebration with his family on Saturday night, and reportedly cut a cake with them,” it added.

The video triggered a backlash, with a user commenting, “This is what Lalu ji gave to Bihar in the last 15 years.” Another posted, “Bihar is not scared of challenges but these idiots.” A third user reacted, saying, “Genz civic sense”.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi extended birthday wishes to Tejashwi Yadav with a photo of the two from their Voter Adhikar Yatra. “Very happy birthday wishes to you @yadavtejashwi ji! May you remain happy and healthy – we will definitely bring about change, employment, equality, and progress for the people of Bihar,” he posted.
In the second phase of the state Assembly elections, voters in Bihar will exercise their franchise on November 11. The first phase of the election was on November 6. The results will be announced on November 14.
