Diwali is around the corner and it is that time of the year again when people wait for bonuses and gifts from their employers. While many end up disappointed with what they receive, a Tamil Nadu tea estate has left its employees pleasantly surprised with a Diwali bonus—Royal Enfield motorbikes.

A video of employees of the tea estate in Kotagiri town in the Nilgiris district being facilitated was shared by the PTI news agency. It shows the employees being invited to a stage and given keys to the motorcycles. They are also seen playing musical chairs during the event. The tea estate’s owner also went on a joyride with his employees.

An employee told PTI, “We were never expecting this type of gift. He [the owner] gifted around 15 Royal Enfield bikes whichever we preferred and it is something that I believe nobody will get it, but we got it. We are blessed by his work and the teamwork which we have done.”

The employees, expectantly, were very grateful about the owner’s gesture and thanked him for making this year’s Diwali wonderful for them.
