Following India’s thrilling victory over South Africa by seven runs, celebratory posts flooded social media. Among them is a picture of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, engrossed in watching the match before boarding a flight to Delhi.

The viral photo shows CM Siddaramaiah at the airport, focused on a tablet streaming the T20 World Cup 2024 final match. The image also features a private plane and a car parked nearby on the runway. According to news agency PTI, Siddaramaiah met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss key developmental issues in Karnataka and submitted a detailed letter outlining the state’s priorities.

Sharing the photo on X, LK Atheeq, CM’s additional chief secretary, wrote, “Chief Minister @siddaramaiah watching T20 World Cup final match before boarding the flight at Delhi today!”

With over 24,000 views, the viral photo accumulated several reactions. One said, “Here comes the 1st wicket-bumrah bumrah boom.” Another user wrote, “Luck charm is our chief minister!”

India lifted the second T20 World Cup at Barbados’ Kensington Oval stadium after a gap of 17 years. India set a target of 177 runs and restricted South Africa to 169/8 in 20 overs in a gripping match. Jasprit Bumrah became the ‘Player of the Series.’
