Momos have become one of the most popular street foods in India as they are widely available in almost every nook and cranny. There are many variations of the dish with some preferring chicken, while others have the option to choose from various vegetarian fillings.
However, a video showing an iteration of momos with pineapple stuffing has not gone down well with netizens. Jatin Kumar, a video creator, posted the video on his Instagram account named @sun_kaha_chale in August. The clip shows the vendor cutting pineapple into small pieces and stuffing them into momos. He then deep-fries the momos and serves them on a plate.

“I want harpic momo after watching this,” commented an Instagram user. “I cried after watching this momo,” said another. “I don’t even eat pineapple in my pizza,” wrote a third.
In August, a momo seller gained attention for his fluent English. In a video, the unnamed seller, who is said to be a former English professor, invites people to try out his homemade “hygienically prepared momos”. The momos are served with badam chutney and Schezwan sauce.
A video of this unlikely momo seller was posted online by food vlogger Darpan Khurana (@lifewithdarpan). As per Khurana, one can find them at the Mad About Momos stall at Lucknow’s famed Chatori Gali. A plate of 10 vegetarian momos is priced at Rs 100.
