Tendulkar’s Instagram post won hearts online. Former Indian cricketer Dilip Dosh wrote, “That’s wonderful to see you going back to the roots every now and then. Oh yes, the team family is the root on which our individual is often based.” Another Instagram user wrote, “cooking food according to the village. The god of cricket.”

The former Indian cricket team captain is an avid social media user and often gives a sneak peek into his life with his posts. On his birthday, Tendulkar posted a photo showing him seated beside a swimming pool with the sea in the background and drinking a cup of tea. His 50th birthday celebrations kicked off three days before April 24 during a cake cutting ceremony held ahead of the Mumbai Indians match against the Punjab Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
