‘Ecstatic’: Railway Ministry shares clip showing train passing by Ranpat waterfall

The trains of the Indian Railways, connecting the length and breadth of the country, pass through vivid landscapes and the fast moving trains often offer visual treats.

The Ministry of Railways shared one such glimpse of a train passing by Maharashtra’s Ranpat waterfalls. Set amid lush green trees, water is seen gushing between the hills while the train moves on. “Ecstatic! Mesmerising view of train traversing through Ranpat waterfall near Ukshi, Ratnagiri in Konkan Region,” the Ministry tweeted.


The Ministry of Jal Shakti shared the clip saying, “Discover the breathtaking beauty of Ranpat Waterfall near Ukshi, Ratnagiri! This stunning natural wonder is surrounded by lush greenery and is a perfect spot for trekking, camping, and picnics. @RailMinIndia @incredibleindia.”

Since being shared Friday, the clip has amassed more than 17,500 views on Twitter. Several users marvelled at the clip. A user commented, “Beautiful view.” Indian Revenue Service officer A Vaibhavkumar wrote, “The view of a train passing through the Ranpat waterfall near Ukshi, Ratnagiri in the Konkan Region was truly mesmerizing.” A third user commented, “Konkan Region train routes are beautiful one..”

In January this year, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared photographs capturing splendid scenery. The minister prompted users to guess the location and gave a hint that it is “Heaven on Earth”. Trains were seen moving through a route in the backdrop of snow-clad mountains and several users guessed it as Kashmir.
