Of late, Rahul Gandhi has created quite a stir with his witty tweets and clever comebacks on social media. Now, those who have been following him for a while would know that this has been a rather sudden change – and a welcome one at that – for the Congress party vice-president. Many have even questioned who has been in charge of Gandhi’s Twitter handle, @OfficeOfRG, in the recent past. Well, the 47-year-old recently posted a video to in response to all those queries, in the same hilarious vein one has now come to expect from the politician.
While we aren’t sure if the video would serve the purpose, but one thing Gandhi’s latest tweet indicates is — the man sure happens to know how to take a joke or two. Gandhi shared a video of his pet playing with a cookie that he posted along with the following caption: “Ppl been asking who tweets for this guy..I’m coming clean..it’s me..Pidi..I’m way ?? than him. Look what I can do with a tweet..oops..treat! (sic).”
The video shows somebody (presumably Gandhi himself) asking the pooch to do ‘Namaste’, on hearing which he stands on his two hind legs. He then places a piece of cookie on his nose, asking him not to touch it yet. He then snaps his fingers following which his dog immediately relishes his ‘treat’. Wondering what’s the idea behind this video? Well, it is to show what ‘Pidi, who is much cooler than him, can do with a tweet..oops..treat!’
This comes days after Gandhi tweeted saying ‘Trump needs another hug‘ to Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the POTUS tweeted appreciating Pakistan, a day after the Pakistani security forces rescued an American-Canadian family from the Haqqani terror network clutches.
