Remember that hilarious scene in the movie Bhagam Bhag where Akshay Kumar’s character runs for his life after being chased by a group of men, only for the entire group to run the other way after being spooked by a dog? A similar scene recently unfolded in real life, and it’s taken the Internet by storm.
In a now-viral video shared by Arhant Shelby (@Arhantt_pvt) and later reposted by the meme page ‘Ghar Ke Kalesh,’ a lioness is seen strolling into a narrow lane somewhere in India, the exact location still unknown. Then, we see nine street dogs, mistaking the big cat for just another feline intruder, charging at it with confidence. But within seconds, realisation dawns, and all of them beat a hasty retreat.
The on-screen text introduces the pack as “Dogesh bhai gang.”
The caption that came with the video sums it up with perfect deadpan humour: “They thought it’s just a CAT.” The post has since accumulated a million views and has people cracking up across social media.
One viewer responded to the video saying, “That’s why they say, sometimes ignorance is bliss!” Another user, after closely inspecting the footage, wrote, “I did the count. 9 went in, 8 came out.” A third X user reacted, “That Bhagam Bhag scene featuring Rajpal Yadav.”
“Well, they weren’t entirely wrong. It was a cat — just much bigger than they had expected,” said another user.
