Riar Saab and Abhijay Sharma’s song ‘Gaddiyan Uchiya Rakhiya’ (also known as Obsessed) has been raking up lakhs of views ever since it was released on May 3. The hit Punjabi number has even caught the fancy of actor Vicky Kaushal who had earlier posted a video of himself dancing to the song. Kaushal again recreated this dance at a promotional event for his latest film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.

More than a month after the song’s release, Twitterati have taken it upon themselves to make the song’s first line into a meme.

The first line of the song ‘Gaddiya Uchiya Rakhiya’ figuratively translates to “We have high-end cars” but literally means “Keeping the cars up”. This has prompted netizens to share literal moments from pop culture that show flying cars. People are sharing scenes ranging from Harry Potter’s flying car Ford Anglia to still from Rohit Shetty’s bombastic scenes in which cars fly in action sequences.

This is not the only instance in which song lyrics have inspired memes. In February 2020, a line from the song Dus Bahane 2.0’ that goes “I looked at you, you looked at me, aur hogayi mushkil (then it led to catastrophe)” inspired memes about how things can escalate quickly in different situations.
