So, you know how sometimes people mix up food items in weird ways? Like putting pineapple on pizza or dipping fries in milkshakes? Well, there’s a new one causing a stir online — ‘egg halwa’. Yeah, you heard that right – dessert made with eggs.

Usually, desserts are sweet treats, right? But someone decided to mix eggs in a dessert. Instagram user @asmagray9 shared the reel on her account portraying the entire recipe and process of the egg halwa.

She uses six eggs, a cup of sugar, a cup of dry milk, a cup of ghee or butter and a cup of cream to whip the egg halwa. The end result is that it looks exactly similar to the usual halwa.

When netizens on social media saw this egg-based dessert online, they couldn’t believe it. One user was like, “Did you just waste 36 grams of protein??” while others were just plain grossed out.

A second user added, “My mom makes it during winters and trust me it is not what y’all are thinking like infact it tastes super delicious.” And a third chimed in, “This tastes soo damn good. It is one of my favourite halwas. Egg and dessert lovers should try this once.”

Halwa, originating from Persia, is a well-known sweet dish in India, widely enjoyed across the country. It’s made from ingredients like flour, butter, oil, saffron, rosewater, milk, cocoa powder, and sugar, resulting in a thick paste-like dessert.
