American national Heather Hathaway and son Hudson have joined thousands of pilgrims who have undertaken the Amarnath Yatra this year. Sharing their video on X, ANI wrote, “A mother-son duo from The US, Heather Hathway & Hudson Hathway undertake the Amarnath Yatra in J&K.”
In the video, Heather Hathway says, “…We are so grateful to be here. I have dreamt of coming to Amarnath, for many years. This has only been possible with the Government of India’s amazing organisation and the Shrine Board…We are overwhelmed with joy. Everyone has been so amazing, sweet and kind…”
Heather and her son Hudson appeared joyful and relaxed. Heather was dressed in a blue traditional salwar suit, while Hudson was wearing a casual t-shirt and jeans.
Reacting to the video, one user wrote, “Wow that’s beautiful .” Another user said, “Bhakti me hi shakti hai.” And a third user expressed, “Give them INDIAN CITIZENSHIP ASAP.”

According to reports, as of Monday evening, the number of pilgrims paying homage at the cave temple, nestled at 3,880 meters altitude to seek blessings, had surged to 207,016. The 12th batch, comprising 5,433 pilgrims in 213 vehicles, departed from Bhagwati Nagar base camp at 3:13 am. This contingent includes 1,117 women and 18 children.
Officials reported that 3,462 pilgrims, traveling in 124 vehicles, have opted for the traditional 48 km Pahalgam route, while 1,971 pilgrims, in 89 vehicles, will take the shorter (14 km) but more challenging Baltal route to the cave temple.
