Even after four decades after its release, Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean manages to move people on the dance floor. An undated dance video is proving the danceability of this 1982 superhit.
The video that appears to have been shot at a western wedding function shows a middle-aged man enthusiastically dancing to Billie Jean as the enthralled audience cheers him.
The 42-second dance video was shared from TikTok to Twitter by freelance journalist Mike Taddow on Sunday. The video was captioned, “bob been waitin for this moment all his life and he 👏🏼did👏🏼not disappoint”.
This video has gathered over 12,000 likes since it was posted. Commenting on it, a Twitter user wrote, “Billie Jean released in 1982, this man was probably in junior high at that time and has carried this sacred knowledge all these decades.” Another person commented, “I knew what song he was listening to without even hearing it. Bob killed it.”
In April 2020, another Michael Jackson dance cover from Mizoram went viral. In the video, Jeremy l Ralte was seen dancing to Michael Jackson’s song Earth from his popular album Thriller as a stormy rain raged around him. While sharing this video, Ralte wrote, “2020 ain’t got nothin’ on us!! Stay Strong people. Remember me, even in your worst weathers”.
