Shantanu Mukherjee, better known as Shaan, is one of the most beloved singers in India who has given innumerable hit songs that are still loved by everyone. A man got an opportunity to sing in front of the legendary playback singer and he posted it on Instagram.
Hriday Kashyap met Shaan and sang the song ‘Chand Sifarish’ that was a part of the 2006 film Fanaa. The song was originally sung by Shaan and Kailash Kher with lyrics penned by Prasoon Joshi and the music was given by the duo Jatin-Lalit. Kashyap sang the song in front of Shaan who listened to it eagerly. However, he fumbled a bit with the lyrics which was noticed by Shaan and he pulled his leg.
Instead of singing “sharmo hayya ke parde girra ke”, he sang “sharmo hayya pe parde girra ke”. Shaan said if Prasoon Joshi has heard him singing before releasing the song, he would have changed the lyrics. “Pov: I dared to sing in front of the OG singer,” says a text insert in the video.

Kashyap, a budding singer, had participated in the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2021. In another post, he mentioned that he got an opportunity to sing in front of legends like Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshammiya.
