The traffic in Bengaluru is bad with many people in the city often complaining about it on social media. People bemoan on Twitter how even a distance of a few kilometres can sometimes take hours.

To illustrate the dire traffic situation, a man shared on Twitter how when he was travelling on a motorcycle, his smartwatch thought he was cycling. Kawal Oberoi shared a photo of his Apple smartwatch. While sitting pillion on a Rapido bike, he got a notification on his watch, “It looks like you’re working out.” He got the option to select if he was cycling outdoors.

“How bad is Bangalore traffic? Well, I took a Rapido bike ride and my watch thought I was cycling,” Oberoi wrote and tagged Peak Bengaluru.

Many netizens also shared their experiences of their smartwatches failing them in similar circumstances.

“My smart watch assumes that I have been sitting for too long and asks me to walk about. All this while I’m battling outer ring road traffic,” commented a user. “It’s better, once it turned to sleep mode while traveling by car near Koramangala,” another user shared. “This is happened with me also few days back,” posted a third.

In May, a video of a bus driver having his lunch while waiting in the Bengaluru traffic went viral. A man named Sai Chand Bayyavarapu shared the video on Instagram on May 2. It shows the driver quickly finishing his lunch from the tiffin while waiting in traffic. “Peak Traffic Moment in Bengaluru,” he captioned the clip.
